About
ACUHO-I Southern African Chapter (SAC) serves as a vital anchor for the professionalisation of student affairs and housing management across the region’s higher education landscape.
Grounded in our commitment to “Making Campus Home”, we actively empower housing practitioners, administrators, and student leaders through specialized capacity-building and networking frameworks.
Our flagship programs, including the intensive Roelf Visser Student Housing Training Institute (RV-SHTI), the annual Women in Housing Symposium, and our regional research colloquiums, are tailor-made to cultivate local excellence and address regional realities.
By championing critical conversations around dignified and affordable student accommodation, holistic living-and-learning models, and sustainable campus ecosystems via our Green Campuses Conference, ACUHO-I SAC bridges the gap between administrative operations and student success.
Through aggressive strategic collaborations with government entities, institutional stakeholders, and student leadership unions, we provide the research-informed benchmarks, advocacy, and standards necessary to elevate the quality of campus environments throughout Southern Africa.
